Theodore and His Teddy Bear

I have started writing this children's story and I think that it's going to be a good one, but I keep running out of time to write it. School takes up so much time. I'll finish it this weekend probably. I started last night (sunday night). I hope that by putting it out there, I will be motivated to finish it.

Theodore and His Teddy Bear

Isn't it just so CUTE!!

Theodore was four when he got his favorite teddy bear. It was black and it had black, shiny eyes and it was about this big. Theodore thought it was funny that his Mom called it a teddy bear because it was not a bear at all.
“This is not a bear.” Theodore told his mom. “This is a gorilla. They look nothing like bears.”
“Are you sure?” His mom asked him. “They both have black fur and they both like to growl really loudly.”
Theodore laughed, now he new that his mom was being silly. “No,” He told her, “The two of them are very different and everyone knows that.” He spread his arms far apart to show her just how different they were.
“Well if you say so.” His mom said sounding skeptical and Theodore nodded in affirmation. “Well then, now that we are sure that it is a gorilla and not a bear…” Her voice trailed off and she looked at him expectantly.
“Yes, it is a gorilla. I am sure of it.” Theodore said.
“All right, all right.” His mom said, “I believe you now, I believe you. The only question left then is what are you going to name your gorilla?”
“Umm…” Now this was a tough question for Theodore to answer, he did not know what to name his gorilla. He did not want to choose just any name. He wanted one that was perfect for his new friend.
“I don’t know what do name him.” Theodore told his mom. “Can I pick one later?”
“Of course you can.” She said, “Once you choose one, come and get me. We will make him a birth certificate and have a party for him and everything.”
“Really?” Theodore’s eyes had grown huge with excitement. “Can I invite my friends to his party?”
“Absolutely, but you have to choose a name first. When you find the perfect name for him, then I will prepare the party. Okay?” She asked.
         “Okay.” He told her.
         “Time to go sleep now,”…
