BOOKS AND SERIES THAT I FIND FANTASTIC

My Favorite Books

These two books bellow, are my favorite books of all time. I like how they make me think. I love books that allow me to escape from everything around me, but most of all, I love books that place me in a situation that evokes my emotions. Invisible Man, by Ralph Ellison and Fortune's Rock, by Anita Shreve definitely do that. The first one, Invisible Man, is about a black man who lives in the south of the United States during the time of segregation. It is pretty deep and thought provoking. It made me cry. Fortune's Rock is really controversial. My mother hated the book, but for some reason, I really liked it. I made me feel so many different emotions. I won't tell you what it is about because then I will give away most of the book. I have to say that it is not for everyone, but it is a really good book. I have some pictures bellow of the book covers.

SO GOOD!

Not for everyone!

The Blue Blood Series

One of my long time series is the Blue Blood series. I have been reading those books since I was fifteen. There are seven books in the series and the last one just came out on the 15th of January. I am NOT one of those people who follow book series that last forever. I get bored with the characters, the author, and I just get lazy. I never read a series that has more than four books. I think it's too much effort on the readers part at that point. However, I have managed to keep up with this series for five years. I think she did something amazing with her vampire stories. I adore authors who are capable of crossing multiple myths and legends and making them work together. This series is written by Melissa De La Cruz. I love the books and I love the way she writes. I have added pictures of three of the books from the series bellow. (There are seven total.) I choose these covers because I love how cool and intricate they were.

This is the fourth book in the series

This one is the fifth book

This is the sixth book. I loved this one a lot!

The Goddess Test Series

The Goddess Test series by Aimée Carter is absolutely fantastic. I picked up the first book, The Goddess Test, a few years ago and I had to wait for the second one to come out. When the second book, Goddess Interrupted, turned out just as great as the first one, I could not put this series down. The third book is coming out soon I am super excited for it. It's called, The Goddess Inheritance, and I know that it will be fabulous. Carter has yet to disappoint me. These are one of the best mythology with a modern twist books that I have ever read and I recommend them to everyone. Check out the pictures of the covers bellow.

This cover is the reason why I started reading the books.

It is so interesting and different from anything I have seen before.

Recent book covers have been dark and moody, this was just so green.

They all are.

The second book ended with one of the greatest cliff-hangers ever.

I was totally blindsided.

The third book comes out on Feb. 26, 2013. I CANNOT WAIT!!!

The Wolves of Mercy Falls Series

These books are by Maggie Stiefvater and I think that they are absolutely fabulous. I could not put them down. I fell in love with Sam and Grace, two of the most well development characters I have ever had the pleasure of reading about. There are three books in the series. The first one is Shiver, the second Linger, and the third is Forever. I found them to be absolutely fantastic and I would truly recommend them to anyone who loves a good read.
